Luther defeated Simpson this afternoon 2-1 in the final game of this three-game series. The Norse scored both runs in the second inning. Charlie Rubendall led-off with a walk, followed by a sacrifice bunt by Noah Sebben, Will Heithoff drove in Rubendall with a single to left. Peyton Lindmark then drove in Heithoff with a single up the middle.

Nick Dufoe (2-1) pitched six full innings and allowed one run on three hits. He walked one and struck out four. Colin Chalmers threw the final three frames to pick up the save. Chalmers faced 14 batters, allowed two hits and struck out three.

The win gives Luther a league record of 11-10, 19-16 overall. The Norse are tied with Coe College for fifth place in the league standings with one three-game series remaining on the schedule.

Luther will host Central College Friday and Saturday, May 6-7. Friday's game will begin at 3:00 p.m. Saturday's twin bill will begin at Noon.
