The Luther College women's tennis team is one win away from qualifying for the 2022 NCAA III National Tournament. Late this afternoon the Norse defeated the Duhawks of Loras College 5-0 in a semifinal match that was played at the Winona Tennis Center, Winona, Minn. Both of today's semifinal matches were originally scheduled to take place on the Luther campus but rain forced the tournament to be moved to Winona.

The Norse jumped out to a early 3-0 lead over the Duhawks following a sweep of doubles play. In singles, Julia Moreno at No. 2 (6-0, 6-1) and Shelby Cook at No. 3 (6-1, 6-2) secured the final two points of the match for the victory.

The Norse will face the Kohawks of Coe College in Saturday's championship match. The Kohawks defeated Central College 5-1 in the other semifinal.

Saturday's championship match will be played in Winona and will begin at 1:00 p.m. The winner will earn the league's automatic berth to the National Tournament Regional play.
