Luther and Nebraska Wesleyan University played game one of this A-R-C three-game series in Lincoln this afternoon. The Norse were defeated by the Prairie Wolves 6-0.
Noah Unger threw a complete game four-hitter. Luther had four hits, all singles, and did not have a base runner advance to second. Unger faced 30 batters, did not issue a walk and struck out seven.
Gavin Scurr had two of Luther's hits, while both
Peyton Lindmark and
Joe Jersak had the other two.
Nick Dufoe (1-1) was credited with his first loss of the season. He pitched 5.1 innings, allowed six runs on nine hits, walked three and struck out six.
The loss gives Luther an A-R-C record of 6-4, 14-10 overall. Nebraska Wesleyan improved to 5-6 in league play, 12-14 overall.
These two teams will wrap up this series with a double header tomorrow that will begin at Noon.
