The Luther women's tennis team traveled to St. Peter, Minn., and Gustavus Adolphus College for two matches this afternoon. The first match was against UW-Eau Claire and the Norse were defeated by the Blugolds 7-2.
The Blugolds held a 3-0 advantage after doubles play and secured the victory with claiming the top-four matches in singles.
Natalie Smith at No. 5 singles and
Ana Olimpio at No. 6 recorded the victories for the Norse. Smith defeated Sydney Presler (6-2, 6-3) and Olimpio defeated Sophie Geske (7-5, 6-3).

The loss gives Luther an overall record of 11-4. Eau Claire improved to 8-3.
The Norse will face No. 30 Gustavus at 5:30 p.m. this afternoon.
