For the second time in six days Luther and Loras faced each other. Tonight's game was a rescheduled game due to COVID protocols earlier in the season.
The Duhawks not only outscored the Norse 44-24 in the paint, but also exploded for six treys in the second half en route to a 78-63 victory. Loras held a 35-29 lead at halftime and then connected on 6-of-11 three point baskets in the final two quarters.
Luther was led by the trio of
Kailey Jones,
Jordan Rubie and
Kristen Elliott. Jones had 20 points thanks to a 9-of-15 performance from the field. Rubie had 13 points and Elliott tallied 10.
Sami Martin led four Duhawks that scored double digits with 20. Madison Fleckenstein had 15, followed by Madison Haslow with 13 and Cierra Bachmann with 10.
The loss gives Luther an A-R-C record of 5-9, 8-15 overall. Loras improved to 11-2 in league play, 17-6 overall.
Luther travels to Central College on Thursday for another rescheduled game. Tip-off is slated for 7:00 p.m.
