Norse Defeated by Dutch 70-51 in Final Home Game of the Year

Luther hosted Central College for the final home game of the 2021-22 campaign this afternoon. The Dutch outscored the Norse 39-21 in the second half en route to a 70-51 victory. The Dutch connected on 55% of their attempts in the second frame after shooting 41% in the first half. The Norse had difficulty connecting in the final 20 minutes of play,  the result of a 1-for-15 performance from behind the three-point line.

Aiden Bailey and Randall Days led the Norse attack with 10 points each. Ben Gill was next with nine.

The Dutch were led by Josh Van Gorp who tallied a game high 21 points. Van Gorp missed just three shots the entire afternoon and was 3-for-4 from the charity stripe. He was joined by Caden Mauck and Kade Terrell in double digits. The duo scored 13 and 10 points respectively.

The loss gives Luther and A-R-C record of 4-11, 7-16 overall. Central is now 3-11 in league play, 6-16 overall.
