Luther hosted Loras College tonight and was defeated by the Duhawks 61-41. Points off turnovers and the free throw line had the biggest impact on the game for the Duhawks as they were credited with 20 points off Norse turnovers and made 11-of-12 attempts from the free throw line. Neither team shot the ball extremely well as the Norse connected on 38% of its attempts and the Duhawks 40%.
Randall Days came off the bench and led the Norse scoring attack with nine. Mike Shed was next with eight, followed by
Matthew Franzen with seven and
Ben Gill with six.
Ali Sabet led the Duhawks with 11 points, while both Cole Navigato and Griffen Clark both chipped in nine.
The loss gives Luther an A-R-C record of 4-10, 7-15 overall. Loras improved to 7-6 in league play, 15-7 overall.
Luther wraps up its home schedule this Saturday when it will host Central College at 4:00 p.m.
