In the second half the Norse found the back of the net in the 59th minute with a goal from Makayla Haddorff (Egan, Minn./Burnsville) with an assist from Emma Lin (Des Moines, Iowa/Roosevelt). Haddorff scored the game winning goal. But the Spartans cut the lead in half ten minutes later with a goal from Baylee Vincent. The Norse weren't going to let Dubuque make a comeback as in the 72nd minute Lauren Linkletter (Des Moines, Iowa/Dowling Catholic) scored with an assist from Makayla Haddorff (Eagan, Minn./Burnsville).
