OFFENSE COULDN'T FIND RHYTHM
Going against the 15
th nationally-ranked team wasn't going to be easy. The Norse had a tough time cracking through the defensive back line of the Duhawks. In the first half Loras got goals from their leading goal scorer Ryleigh O'Brien in the 11
th and 39
th minute. But the Norse couldn't get a shot off in the first half as Loras rained down 15 in the half. Luther did get five saves from senior
Irelyn Baumberger (Evansville, Wis./Evansville).
In the second half it was much of the same. Loras found the back of the net three more times with two goals from Abby Erikensen in the 45
th and 79
th minute and from Payton McDonnell in the 57
th. The Duhawks advance to the championship with the 5-0 shutout. This ends the Norse season with a record of 8-8-4 overall.
