DECORAH, IOWA. – The men's soccer team continues to dominate the offensive third in the 8 to 1 blowout of St. Scholastica. The highlight of all the goals in the game came from sophomore
Javier Pastor Valls (Mutxamel, Spain/The Kiski School (PA) scoring a hat trick for the Norse.

On a beautiful fall day in the Valley the Norse kept the momentum going from the game yesterday.
Marcos Vila (Madrid, Spain/I.E.S San Fernando) slipped the ball to the feet of
Javier Pastor Valls (Mutxamel, Spain/The Kiski School (PA) who sent it low to the bottom right corner for the first Norse goal of many on the day. Then a foul on St. Scholastica gave Luther a free kick from about 25 yards.
Javier Pastor Valls (Mutxamel, Spain/The Kiski School (PA) curled it high hitting off the Saints keeper gloves and into the back of the net for his second of the game in the 24
th minute. The Luther offense was just getting warmed up with a 2 to 0 lead at the break.
The Saints would get a chance to try to make a comeback after the Norse foul in the box for a penalty kick. Keegan Chastey sent
Jack Bell going the opposite direction to score and get within one goal in the 46
th minute. But just nine seconds later
Faydane Ouro-Akondo (Minneapolis, Minn./Southwest) flicked it with his head into the back of the net with assists from
Marcos Vila (Madrid, Spain/I.E.S San Fernando) and
Ramzi Ouro-Akondo (Minneapolis, Minn./Southwest). Then in the 58
th minute
Javier Pastor Valls (Mutxamel, Spain/The Kiski School (PA) dribbled and passed it to
Will Overberg (Ankeny, Iowa/Ankeny Centennial) who sent it to the top corner for the fourth Norse goal. Later in front of the Saints goal the ball bounced off the defenders and Luther attackers but waiting patiently was
Javier Pastor Valls (Mutxamel, Spain/The Kiski School (PA) who unmarked put it away for the hat trick in the 67
th minute. Then in the 79
th minute the Norse scored again this time it was
Danny Barrett (Austin, Minn./Austin) who slotted it on the near post side just getting into the back of the net. There was still time left for more goals as Luther wasn't letting up. The Norse sent the ball ahead of the Saints defensive line as
Jorge Murillo (Madrid, Spain/The Kiski School (PA) fired it toward the far post for his first goal of the season in the 85
th minute. However, just two mintues later he scored the final goal as the Saints keeper came off his line and
Jorge Murillo (Madrid, Spain/The Kiski School (PA) slipped it by with an assist from
Janik Niggli (Malans, Switzerland). Norse win 8 to 1 in dominant fashion as 39 shots were taken.

- Sophomore Javier Pastor Valls (Mutxamel, Spain/The Kiski School (PA) scored a hat trick which is the first one for the Norse of the season and had one assist in the game. He leads the team with 20 points off of a team leading nine goals and two assists.
- Sophomore Jorge Murillo (Madrid, Spain/The Kiski School (PA) scored his first two goals of the season and in his career as a Norse.
- Fifth Year Marcos Vila (Madrid, Spain/I.E.S San Fernando) had three assists and leads the team with eight total assists.
