WAVERLY, IOWA – Defense was a critical part of this 0-0 draw between the Norse and Knights.
STALEMATE
In the first half both teams couldn't settle into the game. As neither side could find any offensive rhythm. Goalkeeper
Jack Bell (Madison, Wis./Madison Memorial) made one save in the 33
rd minute keeping the game scoreless through the first forty-five.
Out of the break the Norse turned up their offense pressure which they have done all season. Currently, the team ranks 11
th nationally in shots per game with an average of 19.20 per game. In the second half alone, they fired off sixteen. But the Wartburg goalkeeper made seven saves on the night and four critical saves in the last 6 minutes of the game. The Norse outshot the Knights 21-4 with 7 on goal but this one ends in a 0-0 tie.
