Simpson College, ranked No. 6 in the NCAA III, defeated Luther tonight in the Regents Center Gym by a final of 85-49. The Storm shot 61% in the first two frames and led at halftime 60-25.

Lizzie Kauls led the Norse attack with 10 points and fell one rebound shy of posting a double-double. Amelia Solum came off the bench and had eight points. Jordan Rubie was next with seven and Kristen Elliott finished with six.

The Storm were led by Jenna Taylor who finished with 26 points. Taylor missed five shots in 20 minutes of action, that included a 6-of-10 performance from behind the three-point line. Cassie Nash and Cameron Kincaid also tallied double digits with 15 and 12 points respectively.

The loss gives Luther an A-R-C record of 4-5, 7-11 overall. Simpson remained perfect in league play and are now 10-0, 18-1.

Luther returns to action on Wednesday night when it will host Wartburg College at 5:30 p.m.
