Central College scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth that led to a 4-2 victory in today's nightcap. The Norse scored an unearned run in the first on a throwing error and
Jayden Kies drove in a run in the seventh with a single to left field. Luther had four hits off Central starter Ryan Riddle who improved to 2-0 for the year.
John Colucci III (2-1) was credited with his first loss of the season. Colucci allowed four runs on six hits in five innings of work.
Ross Hingst threw three scoreless innings in relief and allowed one hit, walked one and struck out three.
The loss was the first in conference play for the Norse who are now 5-1, 9-5 overall. Central improved to 3-7 in league play, 5-9 overall.
