Coe College secured a split this afternoon in Cedar Rapids, defeating Luther 2-0 in the nightcap of today's American Rivers Conference double header. The Kohawks scored once in the first and again in the fourth.
Coe pitcher Hannah Ausenhu held the Norse to two hits to secure her third win of the year.
Sydney Schultz and
Kyal Heydt each had a hit for the Norse.
Abbey Gapinski (1-3) went the distance in the circle allowing five hits and walking two.
The loss gives Luther an A-R-C record of 1-1, 9-3 overall. Coe improved to 1-1 in league play, 5-3 overall.
Luther is schedule to return to action on Wednesday, March 24 when it will host UW-Stout. First pitch of this non-conference double header will take place at 2:00 p.m.
