Luther started its two-match American Rivers Conference western swing with a 8-1 victory over Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Neb. The Norse swept doubles dropping just four games and won four of their five singles victories in straight sets.
In doubles,
Sofia Sackett and
Ana Olimpio at No. 1, and
Natalia Smith and
Lexi Hastings at No. 2, posted (8-1) victories.
Emily Rubbelke and
Riley O'Donnell won at No. 3 (8-2).
In singles, Sacket at No. 2 defeated Ella Ford (6-0, 6-3); Olimpio at No. 3 defeated Crystal Craft (6-1, 6-3);
Bruna Costa at No. 4 defeated Addi Duraanski (3-6, 6-3, 6-1); Renata Martinez at No. 5 defeated Kailey Jay Kissler (6-0, 6-0); and Montserrat Ramitez-Mainou at No. 6 defeated Carley Rubenking (6-0, 6-0).
