Luther's second match at home this afternoon was against NAIA opponent St. Ambrose University. Located in Davenport, Iowa, St. Ambrose is a member of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
The Norse won two of three doubles matches and three singles matches to secure a 4-3 victory. Doubles were played as one point.
In doubles,
Bruna Costa and
Riley O'Donnell defeated Kaylee Camp and Maggie Sullivan at No. 1 (6-3).
Jessica Dahl and Luna van Tol posted a (6-2) win over Lily Malas and Paige Bily at No. 3.
In singles, O'Donnell won a hard-fought three set victory at No. 2. She defeated Camp (1-6, 6-3, 10-2).
Kylie Dunning defeated Malas at No. 4 (6-2, 6-1) and van Tol posted a (6-1, 6-3) win over Bily at No. 6. Dahl was defeated at No. 5 in three sets (0-6, 6-3, 8-10).
The win gives the Norse a combined record of 9-3.

Luther has one more American Rivers Conference match. The Norse (7-0) will travel to Wartburg College on Tuesday, Oct. 12. This morning, the other half of the Norse lineup faced Simpson College in Indianola and defeated the Storm 7-2 and clinched at least a share of the 2021 league title.
