The 2026 campaign will be coach Hartl's 25th year as head coach.
During her career she has posted a record of 731-262 for a winning percentage of .736. She ranks 9th in Division III for Winningest Active Coaches by Percentage and 20th for Career Wins. She ranks 11th in Division III for Winningest Coaches All-Time by Percentage and 42nd for Career wins. Ranks 29th for Winningest Coaches All-Divisions for career win percentage .740.
In 2016, she chaired the NCAA Division III Softball Championships Committee and ran the 2016 national championship in Salem, Virginia after serving as a Midwest Region chair from 2013-2015.
In 2017, she was elected by her peers in Division III to serve as chair and board member for the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) for five years and recently ended her five-year term in January of 2023.
In 2018, Luther made its 20th appearance in the national tournament and 11th in the past 14 years. Luther finished the 2018 campaign with a third place finish at the National Championship finishing the year with an overall record of 43-11. She has led Luther to five appearance at the NCAA III National Championship Finals finishing 5th in 2013, 2012 and 2010; 7th in 2011; 3rd in 2018.
She is currently the Vice President on the board of directors of the NFCA with her term starting in January of 2025. Hartl was elected for the position among all NCAA divisions of head coaches. She is the only Division III Vice President and also serves on the Division III NFCA Awards Committee.
A five-time Conference Coach of the Year (2007, 2012, 2015, 2016, 2017), coach Hartl has led the Norse to six regular season conference championships (2017, 2016, 2015, 2012, 2011 and 2007), and seven conference tournament titles (2010, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2021).
Collectively, her athletes have earned 97 all-conference honors; five have been named Conference MVP; four have been named Pitcher of the Year; 86 National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region selections; and 27 All-America honors.
