Biography
2024: He set new best times in the 3000, 5000 and 10,000-meter runs. Thompson finished 20th at the indoor and outdoor conference championships in the 5000-meter run.Â
2023: In his third season with the Norse he set a new best time in the mile during the indoor season. At the outdoor conference championship he was 13th in the 10,000-meter run.Â
2022: He set five PR's during the season in the mile, 1500, 3000, 3200 and 5000-meter runs.
2021: In Thompson's first season with the track team ran distance events for the Norse. At the outdoor conference championship he set his best time in the 3000-meter steeplechase finishing 10th.Â
Other Sports: Thompson is also a member of the cross country team.Â
High School: Two-year letter winner in cross country while at Johnston High School. He was a member of the Dragons state cross country team that finished fourth and was presented the cross country academic award. He also letter in track.Â
Personal: Son of Mack and Andra Thompson.
