Biography
2022-23: As a sophomore, Melo made headlines during the fall season by winning the Midwest Open Singles tournament, hosted by Gustavus. He and partner Dylan Wiemers also advanced to the quarterfinal round of the "A" Doubles tournament at the A-R-C Individual Championships.Â
2021-22: As a first year, Melo posted an overall record of 16-15, which including a 10-12 record in doubles play. He additionally went 6-3 in singles play.Â
High School: During his prep career, Melo advanced to the semifinals of the U16 National tournament in Brazil. He additionally earned a top-10 ranking within the U16 age division.
Personal: Melo is the son of Altemir and Lucia Melo.
