2023-24: Van Hemert earned A-R-C All-Conference honors in both singles and doubles as a freshman. Overall he was 13-8 in singles play and 21-10 in doubles action. He was a critical member that helped the Norse win another A-R-C regular season championship and A-R-C tournament championship.
