Biography
2023-24: Wiemers finishes his career with a 41-20 record in singles and 11-4 in doubles.
2022-23: Wiemers followed up his All-Conference season with another impressive year. During the fall season, he and partner Nando Melo advanced to the quarterfinal round of the A-R-C "A" Doubles play. During the spring season, Wiemers earned a sport as Luther's No. 6 singles player, posting a 11-5 record, including a 5-0 mark in A-R-C play. At the conclusion of the 2022-23 season, the junior owned a combined record of 15-7.
2021-22: As a sophomore, Wiemers earned All-Conference honorable mention accolades for his singles play in particular. He posted an 18-8 record in singles play during the season, including a 6-0 mark against conference opponents. Wiemers primarily serves as Luther's No. 5 singles, earning eight of his 18 wins in that slot.
2020-21: Wiemers posted a singles record of 11-6 as a freshman, seeing the majority of his action at No. 6 singles. He was also 6-1 in doubles play.
Other Sports: He is also a member of the men's golf team.
High School: While at Moline High School, Wimers was a four-year letter winner in tennis and three times as a member of the golf team. As a junior he was named the Quad City Player of the Year and was also crowned the Western Big 6 Conference champion. As a sophomore, Wiemers earned All-Conference, All-Area and was named Honorable Mention All-State. Off the court, he was a member of the National Honor Society.
Personal: Wiemers is the son of Bill and Tasha Wiemers. He is also a member of the Norse Men's Golf team.
