  • Dowling Catholic captured Iowa 4A cross country championships (2015, 2016) and a Roy Griak Invitational title (2015)
  • Head Coach of Northern Michigan University Nordic Ski Team and led them to a National Collegiate Ski Association team relay title (1983)
  • He was a member of the U.S. Nordic Ski Team (1980-83); competed in six U.S. National Ski Championships, one Olympic Trial, five overseas Worldloppet races, and 37 (and counting) American Birkebeiners
  • 1980 U.S. National Nordic Ski Championship overall champion
  • Winner of first two Korteloppets; 1976 American Birkebeiner Citizen champion and 1980 American Birkebeiner top American
  • He continues to promote participation in quieter sports as he has for years in clinics, presentations and events throughout the Midwest
