Biography

2022-23: In his final season with the Norse, Shed was a defensive catalyst for Luther, appearing in 24 games with 22 starts. He played 448 total minutes and concluded the season with 115 points, 55 rebounds, 28 assists and 27 steals. His 27 steals led the team and ranked in the top half fo the A-R-C. Shed was a recipient of the Elizabeth A. and Paul G. Jensen Medal and the Joy Tlou Memorial Award from Luther College and was also a member of the Norse Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.

2021-22: As a junior, Shed appeared in 21 games for Luther with three starts, playing 207 total minutes. He scored 71 total points during the season and tallied 36 rebounds, 10 assists and eight steals. He additionally earned Academic All-Conference and NABC Honors Court accolades at the conclusion of the season. Shed was voted team captain prior to the 2021-22 season and additionally is the president of the Black Student Union and a member of Luther's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. 

2020-21: Shed appeared in 19 games as a sophomore and earned Academic All-Conference honors. Shed served as team captain during his sophomore season. 

High School: Shed was a four-year letter winner for the Lions and was a two-time District Defensive MVP during his prep career. Additionally, Shed was garnered Super Centex Honorable Mention honors and was a member of two district championship teams. As a junior, Shed was voted Team MVP and won the team's Lion-Hearted Leadership award.

Personal: Shed chose Luther because of the opportunity to be involved in a diverse yet inclusive, proactive and genuine community and make connections with people of all denominations, life experiences and ethnic backgrounds. He is a psychology major and the son of Maya Carter.
