Biography
2022-23: As a senior, Schmieder appeared in 25 games for the Norse. He played 282 minutes and shot .475 from the floor, scoring 84 points with 70 rebounds, 22 assists, five steals and eight blocks. He scored a season-high 10 points in the final game of the year against Dubuque.
2021-22: As a junior, Schmieder appeared in 11 games for Luther, playing 123 minutes. He scored 50 total points while shooting .543 from the floor, and pulled in 35 rebounds, 12 assists, seven blocks and one steal.
2020-21: As a sophomore, Schmieder appeared in five games during the COVID shortened season.
High School: While at Iowa Mennonite High School, Schmieder was a four-year letter winner in both basketball and soccer. He earned All-Conference, All-District and All-Substate honors in basketball and led the Ravens to the sub-state final. As a member of the soccer team, he was named Second Team All-Conference and led Mennonite to the Iowa State Tournament.
