Biography
2023-24: Heryla finishes his career as a three-time A-R-C All-Academic Team honoree and a Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society inductee.
2022-23: During the fall of his junior season, Heryla advanced to the quarterfinal round of the A-R-C "C" Singles Tournament and was a member of a combined doubles team in the "B" doubles draw.
2021-22: As a sophomore, Heryla posted a 4-3 singles record and earned both ITA Scholar Athlete and A-R-C All-Academic Team accolades.
2020-21: As a first year, Heryla earned ITA Scholar Athlete honors and posted a 2-1 record in singles play.
High School: While at Columbia Heights High School, Heryla was a five-time letter winner. He helped lead the Hylanders to a Tri-Metro Conference title in 2016 and section titles in 2017 and 2018. Heryla was also a member of the 2016 state tournament team, the first ever in school history. He earned all-conference honors and qualified for the Minnesota Class A State Tennis Tournament and named team MVP. He also participated in soccer, swimming and diving and basketball, and was a member of the National Honor Society
Personal: Heryla is the son of Pete and Rhonda Heryla.
