WHITEWATER, Wis. – The Luther College women's tennis team started the 2026-27 season at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater 55^th annual Warhawk Invite on Saturday. The Norse finished fifth out of eight teams that participated in the tournament. Allie Christensen and doubles pair Avery Schifsky-Seguin and Liselot van den Broek went 2-1.

At no. 2 singles Allie Christensen went 2-1 to finish in third place. She picked up wins over Estefania Alejandra Casillas Velasco of Augustana (IL) (6-7 (2-7), 6-4, 10-4) and Kaitlyn Remke of the UW-Whitewater (6-7 (3-7), 7-5, 12-10) in the third-place match. All three matches Christensen played in when to super tie-breakers.

In doubles at no. 1 Avery Schifsky-Seguin and Liselot van den Broek were 2-1. After dropping their opening match, they defeated Kassidy Anderson and Analia Pazmino Cedeno 8-2 followed by a victory over Kamila Dobija and Niki Manojlovic 8-7 (8-6).
