DECORAH, Iowa – CJ Boudreaux (baseball) and
Eleanor Lefort (track and field) have been named the April LetterWërks Athletes of the Month.
Boudreaux and the Luther baseball team captured the American Rivers Conference regular season title outright by sweeping Simpson in the three-game series April 24-25 (8-5, 11-6, 13-3 (7)). In game one of the series, he set a new single season school record for saves earning his eighth on the year. It also gave him his 10
th career save with is a new school record. A game later he got the win on the mound.
Lefort set the new outdoor school record in the hammer throw at the Manitou Classic hosted by St. Olaf on April 11. Her mark of 168-2 broke Amanda Dunn's record of 165-7 set in 2014. It was her best throw of her career. Most recently she finished third at the Drake Alternative hosted Gustavus Adolphus with a mark of 148-5.
The LetterWërks Athlete of the Month award looks to honor and highlight Luther student-athlete achievements throughout a given month of competition.
