Norse Fall To Dutch In Regular Season Finale

PELLA, Iowa - The Luther women's basketball team was beaten by Central 73-50 in the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) regular season finale on Saturday.

The Dutch shot 42.9 percent for the game while holding the Norse to 33.9 which included a three-point percentage of 19. The Central bench scored 40 points and five players reached 10 points or more with Emily Naughton leading the way with 11. 

Haylie Strum led the team with 14 points followed by 10 from Lexi Thomas. Leading the rebounds category was Lyndee Northrop with seven. 

Luther earned the no. 5 seed for the A-R-C Tournament. The Norse will travel to no. 4 seed Simpson on Tuesday, Feb. 24. Tipoff is at 7 p.m. in Indianola, Iowa. 

The winner of that game will head to face no. 1 seed Wartburg in the semifinals on Thursday, Feb. 26.
