The Carleton College Knights handed Luther its first loss of the season, a 6-1 decision this afternoon in Northfield, Minn. This was the first match of the year for the Knights. The loss gives Luther a dual meet record of 6-1.
The Knights swept doubles with all three matches ending at (6-3). Carleton went on to win five of six singles matches, four in straight sets and one was a three-set tie breaker.Â
Lena Liichau at No. 3 singles posted the lone point on the board for the Norse. She defeated Peggy Fu (7-5, 6-4).

Luther will wrap up its fall dual meet schedule this next week. The Norse will host the University of Dubuque at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 1. Next, will be a match at Buena Vista University on Friday, Oct. 3 at 4 p.m. On Saturday, Oct. 4, the Norse will play at Morningside University (IA) at 9 a.m. and then travel to Nebraska Wesleyan University for a match at 3 p.m.Â
