PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — Luther was defeated by the University of Wisconsin-Platteville by a score of 2-1.
Rose Anderson scored the lone goal for the Norse in the 81st minute for her fourth goal of the season.
The Pioneers who out shot the Norse 10-1 in the first half. Two goals for UW-Platteville came in the 28th minute by Jorie Carr and Meghan Frantz in the 43rd.
Anya Kennedy tallied the only shot for the Norse in the 28th minute as Luther trailed 2-0 at halftime.
The second half began with the Norse seeking to close the gap. The Pioneers nearly made it 3-0 but Lexi Ward missed the penalty kick in the 79th minute.
Rose Anderson scored the goal in the 81st minute assisted by
Kate Van Deventer putting Luther on the scoreboard. However, there wouldn't be a comeback in this game.
This is the fourth consecutive game that Anderson has scored.
Luther has a record of 3-1-1 on the season. UW-Platteville improves to 4-1-0 overall.
The Norse are back in action on Saturday, Sept. 13 at Gustavus Adolphus with kickoff at 3:30 p.m. in St. Peter, Minn.
