NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The Luther women's cross country season was at the Ole Opener hosted by St. Olaf College on Friday evening to start the 2025 season. The Norse finished fifth overall and the top finisher was
Norah McDonald with a time of 21:12.0. This was a 5k event.
The meet also featured host St. Olaf, Macalester, St. Schoalstica, Bethel and Bethany Lutheran College.
In the top-five was McDonald (44th - 28 pts - 21:12.0),
Mari Paulsen (45th - 29 pts - 21:12.2),
Lindsey Moseley (47th - 30 pts - 21:12.3),
Annika Veit (59th - 32 - 22:20.01), and
Mia Lung (60th - 33 - 22:20.02).
Rounding out the top-seven was
Dewachen Ilg (61st - 22:20.02) and
Penelope Hansen (65th - 22:49.3).
Up next the Norse will have a week off before hosting the 52nd annual All-American Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 13. The 5k race will be at 11:45 p.m. on the cross country course at Luther College.
