MOUNT VERNON, Iowa – The Luther women's track and field team sent the sprinters and throwers to the Cornell Winter Classic on Friday, Dec. 5. The Norse won the following events pole vault, weight throw, shot put, and 60-meter hurdles.
 
Annika Elco broke her own school record in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.26. Then on Saturday at the Forever Red Alumni Classic hosted by Carthage she also set a new school record in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8.55.

The next meet for Luther will be on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026 at the Ole Opener hosted by St. Olaf. Events begin at 10 a.m. in Northfield, Minn.
