CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Mia Prater of the Luther women's swimming and diving team was named the American Rivers Conference Athlete of the Week as well as the women's swimming and diving Performer of the Week.
At the Luther Invitational this past weekend she set new school records in the 100 freestyle with a time of :51.51 and 100 IM with a time of :59.65. Prater broke the 100 freestyle record set by Elissa Schmidt in 2008 (:51.66). In the 100 IM she broke
Ren Talerico's record (1:01.42) set in 2023. These are both new pool records.
She also achieved an NCAA 'B' cut in the prelims of the 50 freestyle (:23.35) which currently ranks in the nation.
- Events she won 50 freestyle (:23.48), 100 freestyle (:51.51), 100 IM (:59.65), 200 freestyle relay (1:37.47 – ranks 7th all-time), 800 freestyle relay (7:53.89 – 9th all-time).
- She was also a part of the 400 freestyle relay (3:40.13 – 3rd), 200 medley relay (1:50.90 – 4th), 400 medley relay (4:04.22 – 4th).
- Currently she ranks eighth in the nation in the 50 freestyle (:23.35), 10th in the 100 IM and 24th in the 100 freestyle.
