Luther hosted the College of St. Benedict's this afternoon in the valley. Following 90 minutes of action, the match finished in a 1-1 tie. Both teams had solid opportunities to score through out this well play contest.
Luther's
Riley Anderson scored the first goal of the match two minutes into the second half. Anderson drove in a rebound into the bottom right corner of the net off a shot by
Hannah Gordon that hit the cross bar. The goal was Anderson's first of the year.
St. Ben's Natalie Parnell leveled the match with a shot that found the top corner of the Norse net in the 63rd minute.
Norse goalkeeper Elizabeth Queoff faced seven shots on goal. St. Ben's played three different keepers and combined they faced three shots on goal.
The tie gives Luther an overall record of 0-5-3. St. Ben's is now 3-1-4.
