Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Luther Ties St. Scholastica 2-2

DULUTH, Minn. - The Luther women's soccer team tied St. Scholastica 2-2 on the road on Saturday. Sofia Biedermann scored twice in the contest in the 44th and 47th minute. This is the first game of Biedermann's career where she has scored multiple goals. The Norse are 0-4-2 overall. 

The Saints got their first lead of the game in the 22nd minute. In the final minute of the first half, Biedermann swerved around her defender and then drilled the ball into the upper left corner of the goal. Luther and St. Scholastica were now tied 1-1 heading into the break. 

In the 47th minute Biederamann scored her second goal of the game giving the Norse the lead for the first time in the contest. However, the Saints would respond with an equalizer in the 53rd minute. The game would end in a 2-2 draw. 

This is the second game that Luther has scored multiple goals in a contest. 

Earning her first start in goal was Rylie Bucklin who made two saves in the first half. Mary Kitundu was in goal for the second half of the game making four saves.
