DECORAH, Iowa - The Luther men's soccer team tied 1-1 with the University of Wisconsin-Platteville on Wednesday. Rául Ferrandez scored his second goal of the season in the 58th minute but in the final seconds of the game the Pioneers found the equalizer. The Norse are now 1-2-2 overall.
After a 0-0 first half, the Norse would break open the scoring in the 58th minute after
Francesco Mungari charged toward the box. He passed it to Ferrandez who scored his first goal since the season opener. Mungari was credited with his first career assist.
The Norse played with 10 men for the rest of the half after a second yellow was handed out. With five minutes left
Jack Bell made a great diving save to the lower right corner keeping the Pioneers off the board.
Then in the 89th the Pioneers Alex Wano, assisted by Daxton Foote, leveled the score at 1-1.
