DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Luther men's basketball team was defeated by the University of Dubuque 73-48 on Wednesday. Eros Carpio led the Norse scorers with nine points. Luther is now 6-15 overall and 1-11 in the American Rivers Conference.

The Spartans had a big first half in part to shooting 56.6 percent from the field, 58.8 from beyond the arc and 60 at the line. Dubuque opened the first half on a 19-point run before Carpio put the Norse on the board at 14:16. The Spartans hardly missed their shots in the half as they took a 47-16 lead at the break.

Luther regained momentum early with a three-pointers from Aidan Bailey and Andrew Lazinbat for a 6-0 to start the second half. Dubuque kept building on their advantage as the game clock ticked on. At 10:19, Ben Gill scored in the paint but the Norse were still down 34-58. However, there was no comeback in this one as the Spartans won the game 73-48.
