DECORAH, Iowa - The Norse were defeated by the Prairie Wolves of Nebraska Wesleyan 65-57 on Saturday in an American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) game. Luther had two players in double digits with
Ben Gill tallying 15 and
Daniel Webster had 10 points. The Norse are now 3-4 overall and 0-3 in the A-R-C.
In the first half, Webster scored the first eight points for the Norse in the first three minutes of the game. The Prairie Wolves were down by three at 17:29 but then Luther went on a 8-2 run building to a nine point lead at 16-7. Later at 6:39 the Norse was still ahead at 25-19 with a layup from Gill. Then Nebraska Wesleyan began to inch closer as the half began to wind down. Luther held the advantage going into the locker room leading 32-31.
In the second half, the Norse pushed their lead to five points with a three-pointer from
Matthew Franzen at 17:08 left in the game. However, the lead wouldn't last long. During the next eight minutes the two teams battled for the lead. Then at 9:41 the teams were tied 49 after a Nebraska Wesleyan three-pointer. The Prairie Wolves went on a 16-8 run to close out the game to defeat the Norse.

- Gill led the team with 15 points. He also had 4 rebounds, 1 block and 1 steal.
- Webster had 10 points for back-to-back double-digit games. He also had a team leading 2 steals.
