Luther hosted the University of Dubuque for the final football game of the season and was defeated by a final of 42-10.
The Norse struck first thanks to a 41-yard field goal by
Sean Medcalfe with 6:23 left in the first quarter. The Spartans responded with 28 unanswered points scoring twice in both the first and second quarters. Luther's lone touchdown came with 53 second left in the second frame, when
Grady Rose found
Tommy Kaktis on a six-yard strike. The touchdown capped off a seven-play, 75-yard drive, the longest drive by either team the entire afternoon. Dubuque finished its scoring with touchdowns at 11:42 and 5:46 of the third frame.
Spartan quarterback K.C. Moore had a big afternoon, connecting on 30-of-37 attempts for 369 yards and five touchdowns. Dubuque tallied 543 yards of total offense while holding Luther to 137.
Rose finished his fourth collegiate start 9-of-19 for 144 yards and one interception.
Samuel Zegler-Evans was credited with three catches and the longest reception of the day of 60 yards.
Raul Medrano III had two catches for 55 yards.
Defensively,
Brayden Daly and
Tyler Ragan led all tacklers with 14 and 10 respectively.
