DE PERE, WIS. – In the final day in Wisconsin the Norse picked up their second win of the season defeating the Bears of Lake Forest College 3-0. Luther kept rolling on the offensive front firing 18 total shots in game to close out the weekend on a high note.
PUTTING THE PRESSURE ON
From the moment the game kicked off the Luther attack put the pressure on the Bears early. In the 18
th minute of play senior
Will Overberg (Ankeny, Iowa/Ankeny Centennial) broke open the scoring giving the Norse a 1-0 lead. Sophomore goalkeeper Jake Bell (Madison, Wis./Madison Memorial) and the defensive line kept things out of harms way limiting the Bears to just two shots in the first half.
Coming out of halftime the Norse tallied another goal in the 49
th minute from sophomore
Javier Pastor Valls (Mutxamel, Spain/The Kiski School (PA) who scored his second of the weekend in Wisconsin. But the Bears would make a costly mistake just 48 seconds later giving up a penalty in the box. Senior
Marcos Vila (Madrid, Spain / I.E.S. San Fernando) stepped up to the penalty spot burying it putting the game out of reach for the Bears. With the win the Norse stay undefeated in their first three games of the season improving to 2-0-1.

- Sophomore Jack Bell (Madison, Wis./Madison Memorial) improves to 2-0-0 on the season with the win.
