DECORAH, IOWA. –  In a breezy fall evening in Decorah the Spartans the Norse tied 1 to 1 with both goals coming in the first half of play. Ramzi Ouro-Akondo (Minneapolis, Minn./Minneapolis Southwest) leveled the playing field in the 44^th minute.
 
FIRST HALF GOALS
 
Every team wants to get on the board first and no team wants to play from behind. With the wind sending the flags flying it wasn't going to be easy to get a goal. The Spartans sent the ball out of their end over the heads of the Norse defenders finding the feet of Gavin Wooldridge who put it away low. The Norse weren't going to get out of the half without a goal. The tying goal would come in the 44^th minute Luther would miss the first shot as it took a deflection off a Spartan. But Ramzi Ouro-Akondo (Minneapolis, Minn./Minneapolis Southwest) was there to clean it up sending it into the near post side of the goal tying the game at 1.
 
In the second half it became a chippy game. Luther had lots of opportunity off corner kicks with seven in the half. The wind was the key factor that worked against the Norse this time.
 
TOP NORSE

• Freshman Ramzi Ouro-Akondo (Minneapolis, Minn./Minneapolis Southwest) scored his second goal of the season in the last three games. Had a season high two total shots in the game.  
• Sophomore Javier Pastor Valls (Mutxamel, Spain/The Kiski School (PA) led the offense with four total shots and two on goal.
