Luther improved to 4-2 thanks to a 5-2 non-conference victory over Grinnell College this afternoon in the Rochester Dome. The Norse had 13 hits and scored a run in the first, second and fifth frames and two in the sixth.
Sydney Schultz and
Kyal Heydt both drove in two runs. Schultz was 4-for-5 and Heydt was 2-for-3.
Belle Berg also drove in a run with a sacrifice fly to center field in the fifth.
Emily Fell also had a multiple hit game going 3-for-4.
Sam Thompson was credited with the win. Thompson threw four innings, allowed one unearned run on two hits, walked one and fanned three.
Abbey Gapinski threw the final three frames and allowed one run on four hits and struckout two.
Luther will be off until its spring trip to Clermont, Fla., where it will play 12 games at The Spring Games Mar. 19-24.
