The Luther softball team leveled its overall record to 2-2 thanks to a 7-4 victory over Macalester College this evening in the Rochester Dome, Rochester, Minn. The Norse scored two in the third, one in the fourth and four in the fifth.
The Norse tallied 14 hits. Morgen Hogenson (2-for-4),
Abby Spore (3-for-3),
Anna Forari (2-for-4) and
Sophie Wilt (2-for-3) led the attack. Hogenson and Spore both drove in two runs, while Forari, Wilt and
Sydney Schultz were all credited with one rbi.
Sam Thompson went the distance in the circle and struck out six. Thompson allowed four runs on three hits. All four runs for the Scots came in the bottom of the fourth as the results of two Norse errors.
Luther will return to action tomorrow when it will face St. Olaf College at 2:00 p.m. and Grinnell College at 4:00 p.m. Both games will be played in the Rochester Dome.
