DECORAH, IOWA – Both teams were evenly matched coming into contest but in the end the Norse fell to the Pioneers 1-3.
 
QUICK GOALS
On breezy fall evening the two teams met under the lights. The Norse had a big test of them with an eight-game winning streak for the Pioneers. Luther would get on the board first in the 30^th minute with Marcos Vila (Madrid, Spain/I.E.S San Fernando) passed it to Ben Bolte who slotted it in for games' first goal. With the assist Marcos Vila (Madrid, Spain/I.E.S San Fernando) got hist 11^th assist of the season putting him in the career top-ten list for assists in a single season tied with five other alumni. But under a minute later the Pioneers answered right back with a goal from Konrad Ziaja. It was all even up a 1-1 at the half.
 
In the second half the Norse put up several great shots but not one could find the back of the net. Then in the 70^th minute the Pioneers got ahead of the Norse defense to score there second of the game from Isaac Petersen. UW-Platteville would follow it up with another insurance goal a minute later this time from Danny Gutzwiller. In the final twenty minutes Luther couldn't find answer. UW-Platteville wins 3-1.
 
TOP NORSE

• Junior Ben Bolte (Pasadena, Calif./Loyola) scored the lone goal for the Norse for his fourth of the season.
• Sophomore Jack Bell (Madison, Wis./Madison Memorial) made a total five saves on the night. Including a spectacular kick save in the first half with his right foot.
