Luther traveled to Waverly, Iowa to face nationally ranked No. 2 Wartburg College for the American Rivers Conference opener for both teams. The Knights won nine of 10 matches en route to a 43-3 victory.

Luther's Logan Kennedy (285) defeated Damari Dancy by decision 7-6 in the final match of the evening. The victory improved Kennedy's season record to 7-2.

Miguel Garcia (125) lost by sudden victory (7-5) to Jamal Chakkour to begin the evening. Nationally ranked No. 14 Donovan Corn battled Kobe Woods and was defeated 2-1.
