Faydane Ouro-Akondo scored three goals as Luther defeated UW-Whitewater tonight under the lights by a final of 4-0. Ouro-Akondo's hat trick was the result of goals at 8:16, 74:44 and 82:43. Javier Pastor Valls assisted on his first and third goals. Ouro-Akondo has now scored eight goals this season and combined with his team best six assists has 22 points.

Marcos Vila knocked in his ninth goal of the year unassisted at 32:58 with a left footed shot to the right corner of the net from inside the box. Vila has added five assists and leads the team with 23 points.

Carson Davenport went the distance in front of the nets and was credited with five saves and his first shutout of the year.

Luther has won three of its last four matches and is now 7-4-0 overall. UW-Whitewater had its three-match win streak snapped and fell to 8-2-1.

The Norse return to American Rivers Conference play this Wednesday, Oct. 6 at Coe College. Match time is slated for 7:30 p.m.
