A 2004 graduate of Luther College, the 2024-25 campaign will be Coach Strand's 14th season at the helm of the women's tennis program. He has led the Norse to an overall record of 198-112 that includes a mark of 92-7 in conference play. His coaching staff has been named the Conference Coaching Staff of the Year four times.
During his tenure he has led the Norse to seven conference championships, five conference Automatic Qualifier Tournament titles and five trips to the NCAA III National Tournament.
He players have earned a collective 41 all-conference honors in singles and 45 all-conference honors in doubles. He has also coached one league MVP - Devon Bourget in 2019.Â
Strand returned to Luther after serving as the head coach for both the men's and women's programs at Augustana College, Rock Island, Illinois for six years and was named the CCIW Coach of the Year in 2010.
