Luther College

Adam Carpenter was hired as the Associate Athletic Director in August 2022. This will be his fourth year with Luther College.

Carpenter joined the Norse staff after serving as the Assistant Athletic Director of Campus Recreation at Upper Iowa University in Fayette, Iowa. During his time with the Peacocks, Carpenter oversaw all campus recreation functions, including management of the recreation center, outdoor pursuits, intramurals, club sports, and other recreation programming. He was also responsible for the operations of events and within Upper Iowa's campus recreation center, as well as the community engagement and memberships between the university and the of city of Fayette. He was responsible for scheduling practices within the facility and oversaw multiple renovation projects and equipment upgrades during his tenure. 

Prior to his time at Upper Iowa, Carpenter served as an athletic trainer and fitness center manager in the twin cities area. He graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2015 with a degree in Athletic Training and received his Master's in Sports Management from Concordia-St. Paul in 2018.
