During her first year in the pool, she made an immediate impact…at the A-R-C Swimming and Diving Championships, she was crowned the conference champion in the 50 and 100 freestyle and placed second in the 100 fly…she also swam on the 200 and 400 freestyle relays as well as the 200 and 400 medley relays that captured gold…NCAA III National Swimming & Diving championships qualifier and earned honorable mention All-America honors in the 50 freestyle placing 12th…she set the school record in the 50 freestyle (23.06) and also posted the second fastest times in school history in the 100 freestyle (51.89), 50 backstroke (27.31), and 50 butterfly (26.99)… she also ranks third fastest in the 100 IM (1:02.34), and fourth fastest in the 100 butterfly (58.97)…while at Monarch High School she was a four-year letter winner in swimming and three times in volleyball…she earned all-conference honors in both sports…was a member of the Coyote's medley relay that was crowned state champions…member of the National Honor Society…daughter of John and Lori Prater.
