Has led Norse men's cross country team to conference championships in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010
His men's cross-country teams have placed 6th at the NCAA III National Championships in 2006, 8th in 2007 and 26th in 2010, 24th in 2012 and 14th in 2013
Named Iowa Conference Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010
Prior to taking over the Norse programs Steve spent two years as an assistant at Williams College (MA), where the women's team won the national championship in 2004 and the men's team finished in the top-10 in 2003 and 2004
From 2000-02 head men's coach of cross country at Macalester College (MN)
While at St. John's University (MN) he ran both cross country and track and earned all-conference honors in track in the 5,000 and 10,000 meter runs
